Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct comprehensive reviews and analyses of existing business books and financial records to support the acquisition process.
  • Provide expert guidance on the financial aspects of business purchases, ensuring compliance with local, state, and federal tax regulations.
  • Prepare and review tax returns in accordance with Australian tax laws.
  • Analyze financial statements and reports to identify tax optimization opportunities and mitigate potential risks.
  • Deliver strategic tax planning advice to inform critical business decisions.
  • Serve as the primary liaison with tax authorities and represent the company during audit processes.
  • Provide ongoing accounting and tax services to support business growth post-acquisition.
Required Skills and Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in accounting or a related field.
  • CPA or ACCA certification strongly preferred.
  • Proven experience working with Australian businesses and comprehensive knowledge of Australian tax compliance requirements.
  • Qualified to practice accounting in Australia.
  • Proficiency with accounting software, with Xero experience highly valued.
  • Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to explain complex financial concepts clearly.
