Job Title: Data Architect

We are seeking an experienced Data Architect to support our IT Data and Analytics department. This is a mid-senior level position responsible for designing scalable and efficient data pipelines, ensuring the continuous functioning of platforms and applications under the Data Analytics team from the IT Group.

Key Responsibilities:

This role involves:

  • Ensuring adherence to standard operating models, managing application/infrastructure patches, upgrades, and installation of platform components.
  • Performing technical production support activities on in-scope applications, including monitoring jobs, production process & overall platform health, investigating functional/technical/infrastructure issues, resolving incidents, and documenting the overall platform support process.
  • Proactively monitoring and producing reports on data and analytics operations/governance.
  • Automating reports/processes that support operations/governance activities.
  • Ensuring platform stability across data platform capabilities such as data flow monitoring, data quality, license & platform costs, and effectiveness of department's overall operations processes.
  • Gathering data required to enforce platform policies related to data and analytics platforms, including usage and license management, infrastructure monitoring, data security, access controls, landscape environment management, incident/problem/change management processes.
Required Skills and Qualifications:

The ideal candidate will have:

  • Strong understanding of data architecture principles, data modeling techniques, and integration patterns.
  • Experience in designing scalable and efficient data pipelines, addressing IT infrastructure & architecture, network & application security, and identity & access management incidents.
  • Knowledge of ETL, Azure Data Platforms, Databricks, or MDM (preferably Informatica), and ITIL Service Management Framework.
  • Problem-solving capabilities, strong analytical skills, and flexibility to handle complex situations.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with an aptitude for working in cross-functional teams.
  • Agile in adapting to change and learning new technologies.
  • High level of precision in coding, debugging, and documentation.
