Job Title: Tax Leadership Role

The US Tax Manager role is a key position that oversees the tax team, ensuring high-quality service to clients while fostering a supportive, growth-oriented environment.

Responsibilities:

  • Prepare individual, corporate, partnership, and trust returns using advanced tax software.
  • Review individual and business tax returns prepared by staff members.
  • Provide insightful tax planning recommendations to clients.
  • Manage status tracking and completion of open items such as tax issues with government agencies.
  • Manage engagement scope, deadlines, and budgets for successful project delivery.
  • Manage workload to align with client expectations.
  • Supervise and train tax professionals.
  • Communicate with clients regarding complex issues and deliverables.
  • Identify and resolve technical tax issues, involving senior management when necessary.
  • Maintain compliance with federal, state, and local regulations.
  • Manage tax system applications.

Key Qualifications/Experience:

  • CPA license required.
  • Master of Taxation required.
  • Minimum 5 years of tax experience, including review responsibilities.
  • Proficiency with advanced tax preparation software.
  • Strong leadership skills, including team supervision and coaching.
  • Ability to manage multiple engagements while meeting deadlines.
  • Strong technical tax knowledge across entity types.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • High attention to detail with ability to see the big picture.
  • Ability to recognize when an issue needs escalation to senior management.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (emphasis on Excel and Word).
