Role Overview

We are seeking an accomplished Senior Linux Cryptography and Infrastructure Specialist to spearhead the development and maintenance of our security foundation. The ideal candidate will have extensive hands-on experience with low-level Linux cryptography APIs, a strong grasp of software engineering fundamentals, and proven knowledge of security and cryptography principles.

Main Responsibilities:
  • Collaborate with the Security Hardening team to achieve and retain various Security certifications
  • Enhance and extend Linux cryptographic components (OpenSSL, Libgcrypt, GnuTLS, etc.) to meet FIPS and CC certification requirements
  • Work with external security consultants to test and validate kernel and crypto module components
  • Develop security hardening benchmarks and automation scripts for Ubuntu
  • Contribute to Ubuntu mainline and upstream projects to implement solutions and benefit the community
Key Requirements:
  • Demonstrated expertise in low-level Linux cryptography APIs and debugging
  • Proven software engineering skills, including prior C development experience and ability to demonstrate such
  • Hands-on experience with Linux system administration and shell scripting
  • Strong understanding of security and cryptography fundamentals, along with direct experience writing secure code and implementing best practices
  • Significant development experience working with open source libraries
