Senior Backend Developer Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Backend Developer to join our IT team. As part of our global agile team, you will drive innovation in cybersecurity, software development, and big data technology.

This is a critical role that requires a strong background in Java Development, Spring, and REST Services. You will be responsible for developing and maintaining high-quality ODM rules, conducting peer code reviews, and analyzing application issues to ensure optimal performance.

Responsibilities
  • Develop and maintain high-quality ODM rules based on project requirements
  • Conduct Peer Code Reviews and contribute to improving development standards
  • Take on User Stories to develop rules that align with project specifications
  • Work with external teams to integrate solutions
  • Analyze and troubleshoot application issues ensuring optimal performance
  • Create and maintain documentation for all development activities
  • Follow SDLC process and participate in Agile and Scrum meetings
Requirements
  • At least 7 years of experience in Information Systems Technology
  • At least 5 years of experience with Java Development and Spring
  • At least 5 years of experience with REST Services
  • At least 5 years of experience with IBM ODM Tools or Rule Engine system background such as Drools
  • Extensive experience using IBM Websphere Liberty
  • Advanced troubleshooting skills in a complex environment
