Job Overview

The remote senior architect will provide technical leadership and guide staff on various projects, including renovations, interior work, and ground-up construction. This role requires a strong understanding of architectural principles and the ability to lead teams in creating innovative designs.

Key Responsibilities
  • Market analysis and client relationship management are crucial for successful project execution. The ideal candidate will have excellent communication skills and be able to develop and maintain strong relationships with clients.
  • Proposal writing and project planning are key components of this role. The successful candidate will have a proven track record of writing compelling proposals and developing comprehensive project plans.
  • Space needs development and zoning reviews are essential for ensuring that projects meet all relevant regulatory requirements. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of zoning laws and regulations.
  • Design concept establishment and 3D model creation are critical components of this role. The successful candidate will have exceptional design skills and be able to create detailed 3D models of proposed designs.
  • Contract document preparation and quality control are vital for ensuring that all contract documents are accurate and complete. The ideal candidate will have a keen eye for detail and be able to review and edit contract documents with precision.
  • Bid package preparation and contractor RFI responses are key responsibilities of this role. The successful candidate will have excellent organizational skills and be able to prepare bid packages and respond to contractor RFIs efficiently.
Requirements
  • A professional degree in Architecture is required for this role. A background in architecture or a related field is necessary for success in this position.
  • Architectural licensure (U.S. preferred) is also required for this role. A current license to practice architecture in the United States is highly desirable.
  • 10+ years of relevant architectural experience is necessary for this position. A strong track record of leading architectural projects and teams is essential for success in this role.
  • Leadership in technical design and documentation is critical for this position. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in leading architectural projects and developing detailed technical documents.
  • Proficiency in Revit and other software is required for this role. Experience with CAD software and other architectural tools is highly desirable.
Work Details
  • This is a part-time position, requiring approximately 20 hours of work per week.
  • Flexibility within Monday–Friday, 9 AM–5 PM CST is available for this role. The ideal candidate will be able to work independently and manage their time effectively to meet deadlines.
