Job Description

The General Ledger Supervisor plays a pivotal part in the month-end closing process, financial reporting, and ensuring compliance with accounting standards.

This role oversees and manages all aspects of the company's general ledger accounting.

  • Responsible for General Ledger Oversight: Oversee the maintenance of general ledger accounts, including journal entries, accruals, and adjustments, to ensure accuracy and completeness.
  • Leads the Month-end Close: Lead and manage the month-end closing process, coordinating with the team to ensure timely and accurate financial reporting.
  • Manages Account Reconciliations: Supervise general ledger account reconciliations, investigate and resolve discrepancies, and ensure accounts are reconciled regularly.

Duties include:

  1. Schedule regular meetings with team members to discuss progress and address any concerns or issues that may arise during the close process.
  2. Communicate effectively with stakeholders regarding deadlines, requirements, and any challenges encountered during the close process.
  3. Collaborate with internal departments to ensure accurate and complete financial information is available for reporting purposes.
