Job Overview

We are seeking an experienced Senior Accounting Officer to join our team at MontPac Global Solutions Inc. This is a critical role that requires strong accounting and financial skills, as well as leadership abilities.

Responsibilities
  • Assist and guide associates in regular accounting functions such as bank reconciliation, accounts receivable and accounts payable monitoring and bookkeeping functions.
  • Oversee period accounting, report maintenance, accounts reconciliation, adjustments and responsible in the analysis, interpretation and preparation of financial and accounting reports to bring more value to clients.
Requirements
  • Fundamental understanding of accounting principles and proper recording of financial and/or regulatory transactions.
  • Adept in general ledger accounts and dictionaries.
  • Extensive experience in accounting functions, e.g., bank reconciliation, accounts receivable and accounts payable monitoring, bookkeeping functions, financial statements, schedule preparation, as well as auditing.
  • Ability to identify gaps and issues, as well as development of initiatives and solutions for recommendation.
  • Ability to explain significant variances, fluctuations and monitors client profitability.
  • Ability to handle critical and confidential documents.
  • Ability to work well under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Computer and internet savvy.
  • Strong decision-making and problem-solving skills.
Leadership Responsibilities
  • Recruitment: Assists in developing the hiring criteria for operations and reviews qualifications and conducts interviews of applicants.
  • People Management: Introduces MontPac and its purpose to team members for better understanding of the business, initiates and develops the learn, grow and have fun culture of MontPac, advocates for the MontPac Core Values, guides subordinates in adhering to company policies, procedures and practices, and makes recommendation for hiring, firing and promotion of subordinates.
  • Performance Management: Trains, coaches and mentors subordinates whenever necessary, and reviews subordinates' performance periodically and makes necessary recommendations in terms of salary increase and promotion.
