Key Responsibilities
As a Senior Bookkeeper, your primary responsibilities will include:
  • Managing day-to-day bookkeeping for multiple clients across different industries.
  • Recording and reconciling financial transactions, bank accounts, and credit cards.
  • Ensuring the accuracy of all financial data and records.

Payroll Management
You will also be responsible for processing payroll for clients, including superannuation and leave calculations, and ensuring compliance with relevant tax and employment laws.

Compliance & Reporting
In addition to bookkeeping and payroll management, you will prepare and lodge BAS and IAS for clients, and maintain up-to-date knowledge of compliance requirements, including GST and PAYG.

Client Support
You will collaborate with clients to provide timely financial insights, address queries, and provide exceptional service to maintain strong relationships.

Team Collaboration
You will work closely with the internal team to ensure seamless communication and workflow, and contribute to improving processes and efficiencies within the firm.

Qualifications
To be successful in this role, you will require:
  • Proven experience in bookkeeping (5+ years preferred).
  • Expertise in payroll processing and compliance (Australia-specific experience is a big plus).
  • Solid understanding of BAS preparation and lodgement.
  • Advanced proficiency in accounting software such as Xero, MYOB, and QuickBooks.
  • Strong attention to detail with the ability to handle multiple clients and priorities.
  • Excellent communication skills for client interaction and team collaboration.
