About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Test Engineer to join our team. As a Test Engineer, you will play a key role in planning, designing and developing manual and automation test tools, methodologies, script & execute end-to-end automation and manual test cases, track results, and log defects.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Create comprehensive test strategies, test plans, and test scripts for both automated and manual testing.
  • Develop scalable and reliable automated tests and frameworks.
  • Contribute to implement repeatable automated tests during sprints to ensure quality, reduce test execution time, & incorporate automated tests into CI/CD processes.
  • Plan the labor needs of each sprint and product releases.
  • Work in a dedicated squad team and help drive product quality.
  • Ensure all assigned testing deliverables timelines are met within the sprint and product release.
  • Create and communicate test reports for stakeholders such as the principal engineer, product owner, scrum master, & release management.
  • Liaise with business users, business analysts, and engineers to ensure that any assigned defects are resolved.
  • Maintain awareness of external environments and trends in testing, in order to contribute to the improvement of processes and assets.
  • Promote productivity through test automation tools, methodologies, and best practices.
  • Cocoon and train other team members on manual and automated testing.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • Degree in Computer Science, Business, Economics or equivalent work experience
  • 3+ years of software testing experience
  • At least 3 years of automation testing experience.
  • Experience in both manual and automated testing including planning, test case design, test reporting, defect tracking, estimating, and test coverage.
  • Experience working with external parties & vendors
  • Demonstrated capability to learn and understand a business and its processes and systems in depth
  • Experience working with Selenium, Java, Maven, & Postman.
  • Demonstrated skills with REST and SOAP web services, & API testing
  • Familiarity with Azure DevOps Pipelines and parallel test execution
  • Experience testing web, mobile, and windows applications
  • Ability to work across multiple products / platforms / squads
  • Regular use of a defect and test management system such as JIRA, Confluence, & SharePoint
