Test Automation Engineer

About the Role:

This position requires expertise in automation frameworks and best practices to develop robust test automation solutions.

You'll work independently within our established framework to tackle challenging tasks, leveraging your understanding of specialized testing principles and methodologies.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Lead comprehensive testing strategies ensuring alignment with project goals.

  • Design, develop, and implement automated test strategies and cases with minimal supervision.

  • Identify root causes of complex issues uncovered through automated testing.

  • Accurately document bugs using the bug tracking system effectively.

  • Manage and track changes in code repositories efficiently.

  • Utilize intermediate to advanced knowledge of programming languages (JavaScript, Java, Python, TypeScript) to write test scripts or understand code for test automation.

  • Maintain high attention to detail to identify even minor issues.

  • Analyze defects found during testing and make recommendations to prevent similar problems in the future.

  • Report issues effectively and collaborate with the development team.

  • Identify opportunities for automation within assigned testing areas and propose enhancements to the overall automation strategy.

Requirements:

  • 3-4 years of experience in software testing or a related field with strong background in test automation.

  • Demonstrates thorough understanding of core testing principles and methodologies.

  • Experience with automated testing for web, mobile, and API applications.

  • Possesses strong programming skills in scripting languages relevant to test automation (e.g., Python, JavaScript, Java).

  • Experience using Playwright with BDD as testing framework.

  • Proven track record of independently designing, developing, and maintaining effective test automation scripts.

  • Strong analytical thinking and excellent problem-solving skills.

  • Effective communication skills with technical and non-technical audiences.

  • Availability to work under EST timezone.
