Job Title: Tax Compliance Specialist

Description:

The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring the overall tax compliance of our organization. This includes managing processes, practices, and procedures related to BIR, PEZA, LGU, DOF, and FIRB.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Prepare calculations for income tax, VAT, withholding taxes, and other internal revenue taxes.
  • File monthly, quarterly, and annual tax returns, including submission of summary reports.
  • Prepare relevant documents, schedules, and reconciliations during BIR audits.
  • Evaluate and ensure completion of relevant tax schedules required by external auditors.
  • Verify that schedules reconcile with general ledger balances.
  • Prepare annual calculations, filings, and renewals of local business permits.
  • Create well-organized draft working papers that require minimal revisions during review.
  • Collaborate effectively with the accounting team to ensure proper application of relevant tax regulations.
  • Stay updated on new tax developments and understand their impact on the organization.

Education Requirements:

  • Must be a Certified Public Accountant (CPA).

Work Experience Requirements:

  • At least 3 years of relevant experience in tax compliance and/or tax advisory.
  • Familiarity with using BIR's eFPS and eBIRForms.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office applications, especially spreadsheets.
  • Experience with computerized GL systems is an advantage.
  • Understanding of financial reporting is an advantage.
  • Familiarity with PEZA compliance and reporting is an advantage.
