Senior Engineer, Test Engineering

The Senior Engineer, Test Engineering position is responsible for the evaluation, characterization, and development of test solutions for various devices. This role involves working closely with design, design evaluation, product engineering, and other teams to ensure successful correlation, improvement activities, and production release of test solutions prior to market launch.

  • Product Characterization: Perform product test characterizations, correlations, and readiness compliance to ensure quality manufacturing release of products and solutions.
  • Automation Software Development: Develop various automation test software to interface with Automatic Test Equipment (ATE) for efficient measurements and data gathering.
  • Experimental Design: Formulate and execute design of experiments, analyze results to understand device failure modes, and support designers or test development engineers in applying relevant test screens.
  • Reporting: Generate detailed reports summarizing product test performance and manufacturability simulations.
  • Test Board Design: Create schematics for design test boards and collaborate with the PCB team to finalize board layouts.
  • Documentation: Produce comprehensive documentation on test methods and procedures.
  • Cross-Functional Coordination: Coordinate with design, design evaluation, project management, PCB, reliability, failure analysis, and planning teams as necessary.
Required Qualifications:
  • Education: Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a related field.
  • Experience: Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in test product engineering or a related role.
  • Skills: Proficiency in using Automatic Test Equipment (ATE), strong understanding of test methodologies and characterization techniques, excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, effective communication and interpersonal abilities, ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams, and strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
