Job Overview

Hunter's Hub Inc. is seeking a skilled Business Solutions Consultant to join our team. As a key member of our organization, you will play a vital role in helping businesses implement technology solutions that meet their unique needs.

Key Responsibilities

Our ideal candidate will possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with stakeholders, facilitators, and partners. The successful Business Solutions Consultant will be responsible for determining project or program requirements, communicating them clearly, and providing ongoing support throughout the System Development Life Cycle.

This includes:
  • Liaising with relevant users to scope and gather requirements, which can be grouped into features for ballpark estimation during the Demand Categorization Process.
  • Leading requirement gathering analysis processes, engaging with business users, solution architects, and delivery teams to document, review, and edit business requirements (BRS) for IT Solutioning.
  • Prioritizing and maintaining 'Requirements Clarification Log' and 'Traceability Matrix' for complex projects.
  • Liaising with relevant users on UAT plans and test cases preparation.
  • Conducting system test results verification, sampling review prior to releasing systems for UAT.
  • Acting as an IT coordinator to lead users on the execution of user acceptance tests and deployment/implementation activities.
  • Facilitating communication between IT, testers, and business stakeholders to ensure all parties have a clear and complete understanding of requirements.
  • Providing support and coordination between IT, vendors/suppliers, and business representatives throughout the system development life cycle.

Quality Assurance

The successful candidate will also be responsible for ensuring compliance with all IT governance activities during business requirements, QA, and post-implementation stages. This includes:
  • Ensuring accomplishment of QA Checklist, SIT, UAT, DVT, and IVT.

Service Reliability

In addition, the Business Solutions Consultant will conduct post-implementation verification testing to ensure changes or new systems are implemented to production per requirements. This involves:
  • Collating feedback on system bugs and performance issues and submitting them to IT for resolution.
  • Monitoring implemented systems and identifying areas for improvement.
  • Registering issues/bugs and tracking their status.

Change and Issues Management

The ideal candidate will also manage change requests and issues raised during the project build, ensuring solutions are delivered on time, within budget, and according to agreed quality standards.

Qualifications and Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:
  • A graduate degree in Information Management or a related field.
  • 3-4 years' experience as a Business Analyst.
  • Must have experience in the life/health insurance industry for 3-5 years.
  • Experience developing instructional and procedural documentation, as well as presentations.
  • Experience in process mapping (current state/future state).
  • Experience in data flow mapping.
  • High-level competency with Office Productivity Tools (MS 365, Visio).
  • Computer System Literacy – Intermediate to Advanced.

Estimated Salary: $80,000 - $120,000 per annum, depending on experience and qualifications.
