Job Summary

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in financial leadership, with experience in overseeing financial functions, including accounting, budgeting, forecasting, and financial reporting. They will also possess excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, and be confident in dealing with senior management.

About the Role

This is a key position that requires a commercially savvy and strategically focused individual who can work autonomously, providing direction to operational managers and making sound decisions. The successful candidate will be responsible for leading a high-performing finance team, ensuring accurate and timely financial reporting, and maintaining compliance with relevant financial regulations and internal controls.

Responsibilities
  • Oversee the financial function, including accounting, budgeting, forecasting, and financial reporting.
  • Collaborate with senior management to develop and implement financial strategies that align with the company's overall business objectives.
  • Analyze financial data to identify trends, opportunities, and risks, and provide actionable insights to support decision-making.
  • Ensure accurate and timely preparation of financial statements, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements.
  • Maintain compliance with relevant financial regulations, accounting standards (e.g., IFRS, GAAP), and internal controls.
  • Identify, assess, and mitigate financial risks to protect the company's assets.
Requirements
  • CPA qualified with at least 5 years of post-qualifying relevant experience as head of finance for a large organization.
  • Excellent communicator, both verbal and written.
  • Confident in dealing with senior managers.
  • Commercially savvy and strategically focused.
  • Ability to work autonomously, providing direction to operational managers and making sound decisions.
