Job Description

As a detail-oriented and experienced technical drafter, you will play a crucial role in supporting engineering and manufacturing teams. You will be responsible for creating and revising detailed 2D and 3D drawings, assemblies, and part models based on engineering specifications and design concepts.

Responsibilities:
  • Create and modify 3D models and 2D drawings in SolidWorks for parts, assemblies, and complete systems.
  • Interpret engineering sketches, specifications, and related data to develop accurate technical drawings.
  • Collaborate with mechanical engineers to ensure design feasibility and manufacturability.
  • Maintain project files systematically on the SolidWorks server.
  • Apply relevant drafting standards and ensure compliance.
  • Maintain organized drawing files and adhere to revision control procedures.
  • Support the development and documentation of Bills of Materials (BOMs).
  • Prepare standard drawings, installation instructions, and assembly guides.
  • Review and validate drawings for accuracy and completeness to reflect client specifications.
Requirements:
  • Associate's degree in CAD, Drafting, Mechanical Engineering Technology, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 2 years of hands-on experience in roles requiring SolidWorks for 2D and 3D modeling.
  • High proficiency in 2D and 3D solid modeling using SolidWorks, including assemblies, part modeling, and drawing generation.
  • Excellent file management and project organization skills, with the ability to maintain clear and systematic documentation.
  • Prior experience with structural elements is beneficial.
  • Familiarity with industry standards such as ASME Y14.5 is advantageous.
