Job Overview

We are seeking a skilled professional to fill the role of Community Support Engineer. As a member of our team, you will be responsible for providing exceptional customer support and building strong relationships with our online community.

The ideal candidate will possess excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, and be able to effectively engage with customers through various online platforms. They will also have a strong understanding of IT security concepts and be able to troubleshoot complex issues.

This role requires a high level of technical knowledge and expertise, including but not limited to antivirus, networking, and encryption technologies. The successful candidate will be able to install, configure, and troubleshoot Windows Desktop and Server operating systems, as well as remediate malware/viruses/Trojans.

As a Community Support Engineer, you will be responsible for:

  • Acting as a Sophos Ambassador to build and develop the Sophos Community
  • Deflecting support cases by proactively resolving customer queries on online platforms
  • Moderating and verifying community content to ensure technical accuracy and quality
  • Collaborating with internal teams to resolve complex issues

Key Skills and Qualifications

To be successful in this role, you will need to possess the following skills and qualifications:

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Strong technical knowledge and understanding of IT security concepts
  • Ability to troubleshoot complex issues
  • Experience with installation, configuration, and troubleshooting of Windows Desktop and Server operating systems
  • Knowledge and understanding of Security, Cloud, Data protection, Encryption, Malware, Spyware, Cyber Security, Firewalls, Antivirus, and Disaster Recovery
  • Experience with Virtualization (MS SystemCenter Virtual Machine Manager and/or VMWARE)
