Research Consultant for Early Childhood Development and Education

Job Description:

We are seeking a highly skilled research consultant to lead an in-depth study on early childhood development and education. The consultant will conduct a situational analysis, stakeholder mapping, and evidence-informed recommendations to inform program design, strategic positioning, and partnership building.

  • Map the current landscape of early childhood development and education in the region, including data collection and analysis.
  • Assess alignment with government frameworks and integration opportunities.
  • Review existing programs across different age groups, identifying strengths, gaps, and scalability potential.
  • Identify key stakeholders, partnerships, and donors relevant to scaling early childhood development and education interventions.
  • Generate actionable recommendations for program design, resource mobilization, and evidence-building.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • Advanced degree in education, early childhood development, social sciences, or related field.
  • Minimum 5 years of relevant experience in ECD, education policy, program design, or research in LMICs.
  • Demonstrated expertise in qualitative and mixed-methods research.
  • Familiarity with regional governance structures and education systems.
  • Strong track record in producing high-quality reports and actionable recommendations.
  • Excellent facilitation, communication, and stakeholder engagement skills.
