Key Roles and Responsibilities

The position entails ensuring the accuracy and reliability of financial data by recording, verifying, and consolidating transactions. This includes preparing and recording asset, liability, revenue, and expense entries by analyzing account information.

The successful candidate will maintain a general ledger by transferring subsidiary accounts, preparing a trial balance, and reconciling entries. Additionally, they will summarize financial status by collecting information and preparing balance sheets, profit and loss statements, and other relevant reports.

Monthly, quarterly, and annual close responsibilities will be performed, with a focus on ensuring team members stay on track during these critical periods. The role also involves partnering with cross-functional teams to optimize processes and efficiency.

A key aspect of the job is ensuring deadlines and controls are met in accordance with policies and procedures. External auditors must receive proper deliverables for annual audits and quarterly reviews. Internal audit engagements will be led, and external audits will be completed by analyzing and scheduling general ledger accounts and providing necessary information for auditors.

The candidate will avoid legal challenges by complying with legal requirements and secure financial information by completing database backups. They will protect the organization's financial information and assist with month-end close and other projects as needed.

Interaction with various levels of management and peers will be required, as well as independent planning, scheduling, and organizing work to complete tasks within designated timelines.
