Neksjob is actively seeking a highly skilled Cyber Security Specialist to join our team as a Network Threat Investigator. We offer a competitive salary of $120,000 per year.

About the Role

As a Network Threat Investigator, you will play a critical role in identifying and mitigating security breaches. Your primary responsibilities will include:

  • Analyzing network security incidents to identify potential threats
  • Investigating security breaches to determine the root cause and recommend corrective actions
  • Participating in threat hunting activities to proactively identify and mitigate potential threats
  • Coordinating with other teams and organizations as necessary to ensure effective incident response
  • Assisting in larger security incidents and more complex investigations
Requirements and Qualifications

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Systems Engineering, or a related field
  • 4-5 years of experience in network security operations, infrastructure services, or a related field
  • Solid understanding of computer operating systems, including server operating systems (Windows & Linux)
  • Solid understanding of cloud infrastructure (Amazon, Azure, Google)
  • Familiarity with the MITRE ATT&CK Framework
  • Proficiency with EDR and SIEM platforms
  • Strong security analysis skills, including log file analysis and mixed data sources/types
  • Proficiency in at least one common scripting language
  • Ability to manipulate and present data
  • Solid understanding of network protocols and architecture
  • Ability to multitask and prioritize workload
  • Strong problem-solving skills
  • Strong sense of ethics and values, ability to handle confidential situations with discretion
  • Strong willingness to learn and grow within the role
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills in English
