Job Opportunity:

Editorial Specialist - Global Events and Digital Content

We are seeking an editorially-savvy, highly organized and detail-oriented professional to support our team in creating impactful live journalism events, podcasts, and other digital content around critical global convenings.

The ideal candidate will possess a keen sense for what matters to global development audiences and have excellent interpersonal skills, building strong relationships with internal teams and external stakeholders.

  • Collaborate with senior editors to shape how we show up to and cover key moments in global development.
  • Conduct research and develop ideas for interviews or panels, identifying innovators and thought leaders to feature in our events and podcasts.
  • Help bring issues to life onstage by identifying and recommending speakers who can spark confidence and inspire our audience.
  • Manage speaker correspondence, including confirming speaking details and coordinating logistics and scheduling.
  • Provide strategic support to senior editors, including seeking and managing external speaking and moderation opportunities.
  • Collaborate across teams to ensure content flows smoothly from concept to execution, maintaining consistency across the entire event lifecycle.
  • Maintain meticulous organization of project timelines, deliverables, and communication.

Requirements:

  • Strong editorial judgment and a keen sense for what matters to global development audiences.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills, building strong relationships with internal teams and external stakeholders.
  • A minimum 3-5+ years of experience in journalism, editorial content creation, and/or event management.
  • Top-notch writing and editing skills, clear and concise.
  • Exceptional attention to detail and ability to manage multiple priorities.
  • Fluency in English (written and spoken).
