Remote Accounting Specialist

">About the Role

We're looking for an experienced accounting professional to join our team in a remote capacity. As a key member of our financial operations team, you'll be responsible for ensuring the accuracy and integrity of our financial records.

  • Prepare and record journal entries and general ledger transactions
  • Reconcile bank accounts, credit card statements, and general ledger accounts
  • Assist with month-end and year-end closing procedures
  • Help prepare financial statements and supporting documentation
  • Support internal and external audits
  • Perform variance analysis and explain key fluctuations
  • Support accounts payable and receivable functions as needed
  • Ensure compliance with GAAP and internal policies
  • Maintain well-organized and accurate financial records
Requirements

To succeed in this role, you'll need:

  • 1-3 years of accounting experience (internships welcome)
  • Detail-oriented, analytical, and accurate with numbers
  • Understanding of GAAP and accounting workflows
  • Proficient in Excel (XLOOKUPs, pivot tables, formulas)
  • Experience with QuickBooks, NetSuite, or similar software
  • Professional English communication (written and verbal)
  • Ability to manage time, tasks, and deadlines in a remote setup
  • Problem-solving mindset and willingness to improve systems
  • Familiarity with Microsoft Outlook, Word, SharePoint, and related tools
  • Willingness to handle both routine and evolving responsibilities
  • Willingness to work in a US time zone schedule
