About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Financial Operations Specialist to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in accounting and financial operations, with a focus on payroll and account management.

The successful candidate will be responsible for managing accounts communications and documentation, accounts payable and receivable, payroll, reconciliations, and reporting. They will also be required to create and manage automations, understand ledgers, and identify anomalies or omissions.

In addition, the Financial Operations Specialist will be responsible for processing payrolls in Employment Hero Payroll, including timesheet-based payrolls, award interpretation, termination and redundancy payments, complex automations, bonus and commission calculations, superannuation, and expense reimbursements.

Key Responsibilities
  • Account Management: Manage accounts communications and documentation, accounts payable and receivable, payroll, reconciliations, and reporting.
  • Automations: Create and manage automations to streamline financial processes.
  • Ledger Management: Understand how ledgers are managed and maintained for each client.
  • Anomaly Identification: Identify anomalies or omissions in financial data.
  • Payroll Processing: Process payrolls in Employment Hero Payroll, including timesheet-based payrolls, award interpretation, termination and redundancy payments, complex automations, bonus and commission calculations, superannuation, and expense reimbursements.
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • Strong Background in Accounting and Financial Operations: A strong understanding of accounting principles and practices.
  • Payroll Experience: Experience with payroll processing, including timesheet-based payrolls, award interpretation, termination and redundancy payments, complex automations, bonus and commission calculations, superannuation, and expense reimbursements.
  • Analytical Skills: Strong analytical skills to identify anomalies or omissions in financial data.
  • Communication Skills: Excellent communication skills to effectively communicate with clients and stakeholders.
