Procurement Category Specialist Job Description

  • Key Responsibilities:
  • An employee performs purchasing activities, including demand/supply planning, buying plan preparation, and supplier negotiations. They also collaborate with cross-functional teams to review KPIs and investigate gaps.
  • The candidate will identify opportunities and track savings value, prepare Demand and Supply Plans, and generate Buying Plans as needed.
  • They must ensure adequate insight into the supply chain and its impact on business operations or projects.
  • Additional responsibilities include performing market and supplier analysis, developing hypotheses for insights into sourcing strategies, and implementing modeling tools and frameworks to support procurement activities and decision-making.

Requirements:

  • A minimum of two years' experience in supply chain management or a related field is required.
  • Candidates with capital project planning experience are preferred, particularly in industries such as Telecommunications, Civil, or Oil & Gas.
  • Consumer Goods logistics planning experience is also advantageous.
