Software Implementation Consultant Job Description:

The Software Implementation Consultant will work as a part of a team responsible for the internal implementation of a suite of revenue cycle technology, including hospital and professional fee front-end patient access workflow, patient accounting workflow, and denials management workflow. Strong candidates have an understanding of software implementations and can support the project team during all phases, including planning, design, configuration, user acceptance testing, training, delivery, and monitoring of our technologies.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Participate in internal assessment meetings with the accounts receivable services department to ascertain existing workflow processes and develop design documentation using best practice recommendations.
  • Develop and demonstrate an understanding of business needs, expectations, and requirements for each implementation.
  • Responsible for translating Visio documentation into pseudocode (if-then statements) intended for the development and QA teams.
  • Ability to problem-solve and analyze errors based on user acceptance testing results.
  • Ability to work with large data sets to identify potential improvement opportunities and present data to support these recommendations to the project team.
  • Support clients utilizing the suite of products after deployment.
  • Diagnose application bugs and gather supporting technical documentation of issues working directly with the development and QA teams to ensure all rules and actions are programmed to match processes outlined during design.
  • Lead ongoing support calls with existing customers post go-live.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience.
  • 1+ years prior experience in implementing and/or supporting software applications.
  • Experience documenting business rules and technical processes into logical structures and diagrams.
  • Ability to understand complex software applications.
  • Proven capability specifically with Microsoft Excel and/or Microsoft SQL Server with a desire to expand on those capabilities.
  • Able to prioritize workload and work effectively with minimal supervision; demonstrated ability to work concurrently on multiple projects with several teams.
