About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Applications Engineer Lead to join our team in Manila. As a key member of our GBS team, you will be responsible for guiding a talented engineering team in managing and enhancing our global workplace platforms.

The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of both business and technical challenges, as well as solid experience leading technical teams. You will have strong interpersonal skills, a customer-focused approach, and a proactive mindset to drive innovation and improvement.

In this role, you will foster collaboration, ensure the team delivers high-quality solutions that meet business needs, and manage vendor relationships. You will also be responsible for overseeing application support, ensuring smooth project transitions, maintaining documentation, and engaging with stakeholders across infrastructure, operations, and strategy teams.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead a team of engineers in delivering and supporting IT applications and platforms
  • Foster a culture of innovation, continual improvement, and automation
  • Manage vendor relationships, budgets, and platform lifecycles
  • Oversee application support, ensure smooth project transitions, and maintain documentation
Requirements

To succeed in this role, you should have:

  • Minimum 7 years' experience post professional qualification, including 4 years of direct people management experience
  • Proven ability to lead a technical team and build a collaborative approach
  • Strong influencer skills to manage processes across multiple stakeholder groups
  • Demonstrated skills in implementing process improvement initiatives and operational excellence
  • A deep understanding of ITIL and Process Improvement methodology
