Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Data Infrastructure Manager to lead our database administration efforts.

Key Responsibilities
  • Collaborate with developers and system architects to design and implement databases that meet organizational needs.
  • Develop and maintain database structures, including tables, views, indexes, and stored procedures.
  • Ensure database normalization, indexing, and best practices for performance and scalability.
Data Management
  • Migrate existing databases to new platforms.
  • Clean up data, user access, and extract information as needed.
  • Forecast future growth and scale database infrastructure to handle increasing workloads and data volume.
Backup and Recovery
  • Plan and implement regular full, incremental, and differential database backups.
  • Regularly test backup files to ensure their validity and ability to be restored when necessary.
Problem Resolution
  • Identify, troubleshoot, and resolve database issues related to performance, queries, backups, replication, or security.
  • Analyze database logs to detect performance bottlenecks, errors, and system issues.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
  • Minimum 2 years of hands-on experience as a Database Administrator or in a similar role.
  • Strong understanding of database design principles, performance tuning, and security best practices.
  • Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills with the ability to troubleshoot complex database issues.
  • Effective communication skills to collaborate with technical and non-technical stakeholders.
