About the Role

We are seeking a seasoned AI Performance Engineer to join our team. In this role, you will design and develop cutting-edge solutions for evaluating AI performance across real-world enterprise use cases.

Your key responsibilities will include building domain-specific benchmarks for modern SaaS verticals, developing performance metrics that measure latency, safety, cost-efficiency, and user-perceived quality, and creating search- and retrieval-oriented benchmarks with multilingual query handling capabilities.

You will also partner with AI and infrastructure teams to instrument models with detailed telemetry and drive human-in-the-loop and programmatic testing methodologies for fuzzy metrics.

Required Skills and Qualifications
  • 7+ years of experience in systems, infrastructure, or performance engineering roles with strong ownership of metrics and benchmarking.
  • Expert-level proficiency in Python and comfort working across full-stack services.
  • Experience building or using Large Language Models (LLMs), vector-based search, or agentic frameworks in production environments.
  • Familiarity with model serving infrastructure, including observability and autoscaling.
  • Deep understanding of model tuning workflows, including prompt engineering and fine-tuning.
  • Strong appreciation for measuring what matters, whether it's latency under load or degradation in retrieval precision.
  • Familiarity with evaluation techniques in NLP, information retrieval, or human-centered AI.
