Japanese Language Specialist

Key Responsibilities

We are seeking a skilled Japanese Interpreter to facilitate smooth communication and collaboration between our Japanese and local teams in the Philippines. The ideal candidate will have strong language skills, cultural knowledge, and experience working in a multicultural environment.

  • Translate documents between Filipino/English and Japanese, and vice versa, as required.
  • Attend meetings with the Manager and provide interpretation (English to Japanese and vice versa).
  • Coordinate with relevant departments to collect various data for the development of work and projects.
  • Report on results, problems, and solutions for each project to facilitate implementation.
  • Handle correspondence and ensure timely communication.

Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • At least N2 or above proficiency in Japanese.
  • At least 2 years experience working in the finance/automotive industry.
  • Strong communication skills and ability to work in a multicultural environment.
  • Flexibility and willingness to perform various tasks as required.
  • Disciplined and able to follow rules.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality (necessary for drafting internal letters).
  • Prior experience in a startup environment is highly preferred.
  • Familiarity with the Philippine market and culture.
