Job Description

We are seeking a detail-oriented and highly motivated individual to join our finance team as a Staff Accountant. The ideal candidate holds an accounting degree and demonstrates a strong aptitude for financial analysis and general ledgers.

Responsibilities:
  • Process high volumes of vendor invoices.
  • Maintain General Ledger: Record all financial transactions accurately in the general ledger system.
  • Prepare Financial Statements: Generate periodic financial statements, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements.
  • Financial Reporting: Compile and analyze financial information to prepare reports and statements.
  • Reconcile Accounts: Ensure the accuracy of accounts by reconciling discrepancies and making adjustments as necessary.
  • Month-end and Year-end Close: Lead or assist in the month-end and year-end closing processes, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
  • Handle Accruals and Prepayments: Manage accruals for expenses incurred but not yet paid and prepayments for expenses paid in advance.
  • Assist in Audits: Provide necessary information and support during internal and external audits.
  • Conduct Financial Analysis: Analyze variances and provide insights into financial performance.
  • Ensure Compliance and Reporting: Adhere to accounting standards, tax regulations, and other financial reporting requirements.
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you must have:

  • An accounting degree.
  • Experience with GLs.
  • A high degree of accuracy and attention to detail.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills in English.
  • Excellent organization and time management skills.
  • Familiarity with ERP systems, preferably Great Plains (GP).
