Job Overview

We are seeking a skilled Database Script Engineer to join our team. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience with PostgreSQL and MariaDB in AWS RDS environments, as well as expertise in writing complex SQL queries and analyzing performance.

The successful candidate will work on building internal tooling to help product teams deliver faster and more accurately, while growing their technical expertise across cloud databases, schema design, and Aurora optimization.

Responsibilities:
  • Design and implement scalable database solutions using PostgreSQL and MariaDB.
  • Develop and maintain high-quality SQL scripts for data extraction, transformation, and loading.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to scope and fulfill data-related needs.
  • Support the migration of legacy database flows to AWS Aurora.
  • Participate in production troubleshooting and scheduled after-hours support rotations.
Requirements

To be considered for this role, you should have:

  • 3+ years of hands-on experience with PostgreSQL and MariaDB in AWS RDS environments.
  • Expertise in writing complex SQL queries and analyzing performance.
  • Familiarity with Java-based ORMs and their impact on schema design.
  • Experience supporting multi-tenant environments, ideally using schema-per-customer models.
  • Strong analytical and communication skills.
  • Experience with scripting and automation (Bash, Python).
