Remote Healthcare Assistant

We are seeking a skilled healthcare professional to join our team as a virtual nurse. In this role, you will be responsible for providing timely and professional communication to patients regarding test results.

You will also be responsible for creating and processing referrals for specialized healthcare providers, ordering labs and imaging while coordinating and scheduling appointments for patients.

Maintaining and updating electronic medical records (EMR) is another key aspect of this role, ensuring accuracy and compliance with all relevant regulations.

You will work closely with the healthcare team to ensure adherence to healthcare regulations, including HIPAA compliance and patient confidentiality.

  • Key Responsibilities:
  • Create and process referrals for healthcare providers
  • Order labs and imaging
  • Coordinate and schedule appointments
  • Maintain electronic medical records (EMR)
  • Ensure compliance with healthcare regulations

Qualifications:

  • US-certified RN License
  • At least 1-year experience as a Medical Virtual Assistant
  • Specialisation or experience in patient care, family medicine, acute care, or clinical settings is preferred
  • Excellent English communication skills (C1 level)
  • Solid understanding of medical terminologies and practices
  • Proficient in EHR/EMR systems and ability to troubleshoot common technical issues
  • Understanding of healthcare privacy regulations
  • Strong interpersonal skills
  • Solid organisational & time management skills with keen attention to details
  • Tech savvy & familiar with current technologies, like desktop sharing, cloud services, and VoIP
  • Able to work on a graveyard shift
