Senior DevOps Observability Engineer

We're seeking a Senior DevOps Observability Engineer to play a pivotal role in steering the future direction of observability and driving innovation in financial data.

About the Role

This senior position will be instrumental in designing, building, deploying, and maintaining an observability solution that aligns with our IT strategy and vision.

  • Collaborate with Observability and DevOps Engineers to design, build, deploy, and maintain an observability solution that aligns with our IT strategy and vision.
  • Integrate the observability solution into delivery pipelines and application codebases across teams.
  • Communicate effectively with governance streams to ensure adherence to process, quality, and architectural design.
  • Deliver against functional and non-functional requirements.
  • Take ownership of key features and drive them to completion.
Requirements

To succeed in this role, you'll need:

  • A deep understanding of observability pillars and tools such as Grafana, Prometheus, OpenSearch, and CloudWatch.
  • Hands-on experience in deploying and managing AWS resources.
  • Experience with Full-Stack Software Engineering using Java, C#, TypeScript, JavaScript, Python, and PowerShell.
  • Experience with Application Lifecycle Management Tools and technologies such as Source Code Management, Git, DevOps platforms, and Containerization.
Preferred Qualifications

The following qualifications are highly desirable:

  • Experience with enterprise-level monitoring tools.
  • OpenTelemetry instrumentation and use of OTEL solutions.
  • APM Experience with AppDynamics, DataDog, Dynatrace.
  • AWS OpenSearchElastic and ingestion tooling Crbl.
  • Grafana and Prometheus.
  • Knowledge of Cloud Technologies and concepts on AWS or Azure/GCP.
