About the Role

ABSI is seeking a highly skilled Quality Assurance Engineer to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for conducting site and work quality audits, verifying compliance with engineering standards, and ensuring delivery of high-quality installations.

Duties and Responsibilities
  • Site and Work Quality Audit: Conduct on-site technical audits and inspections of newly installed or repaired systems, infrastructure, and equipment.
  • Verify Compliance: Verify alignment with engineering drawings, technical specifications, and standard operating procedures.
  • Corrective Actions: Identify non-conformities or defects and recommend necessary corrective actions.
  • Final Acceptance and Turnover: Lead final inspection activities for completed works and installations.
  • Acceptance Process: Facilitate the acceptance process with stakeholders, including documentation sign-offs and punch list resolution.
  • Project Handover: Ensure all acceptance checklists, photos, and reports are complete before project handover.
  • Compliance and Documentation Review: Review submitted reports, plans, and as-built documentation for completeness and accuracy.
  • Regulatory Compliance: Ensure materials and workmanship comply with applicable regulatory, safety, and engineering standards.
  • Audit Logs and Records: Maintain audit logs and acceptance records for traceability and compliance audits.
  • Coordination with Internal and External Teams: Liaise with project teams, contractors, and field engineers for inspection schedules and punch list management.
  • Feedback and Clarification: Provide feedback and technical clarification to teams during audit findings or rework requirements.
  • Collaboration: Collaborate with QA, O&M, and Procurement teams to validate delivery and deployment quality.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's Degree in Engineering: Bachelor's Degree in Engineering (Electrical, Mechanical, Civil, ECE, or a related technical discipline)
  • Experience in Field Inspection: At least 1–2 years of experience in field inspection, quality assurance, or audit roles
  • Familiarity with Technical Specifications: Familiarity with technical specifications, engineering standards, and installation guidelines
  • Proficient in Inspection Tools: Proficient in the use of inspection tools, audit checklists, and reporting platforms
  • Strong Analytical Skills: Strong attention to detail, analytical skills, and documentation practices
  • Good Communication Skills: Good communication and coordination skills, especially when dealing with multiple stakeholders
