Cloud Automation Engineer

We are seeking a highly skilled Cloud Automation Engineer to join our team.

  • Automation Development

This role requires strong expertise in collaboration, automation, engineering, and architectural design, with a focus on Jira, Confluence, and AWS.

Responsibilities:

  1. Design and implement high-impact automations across departments, leading to measurable improvements in turnaround time and process reliability.
  2. Manage JIRA project configurations including schemes, permissions, notifications, custom fields, and issue types.
  3. Provide support for Confluence, offering best practices and guidance where necessary.
  4. Collaborate with stakeholders to scope, build, and refine automated workflows.
  5. Post-migration support and administration of JIRA and Confluence SaaS platforms.
  6. Integrate user onboarding with Okta and Active Directory, significantly improving provisioning and access management.
  7. Plan, execute, and support complex AWS cloud migrations with workload assessments, strategy design, and post-migration optimization.

Essential Skills:

  • Strong Jira experience covering migration, design, and administration of all aspects of the service.
  • Strong Confluence experience covering migration, design and administration of all aspects of the service.
  • Proficiency in programming, with a demonstrated history of developing and maintaining custom solutions.
  • Good collaboration & communication skills.
  • Hands-on experience with AWS including migrations, cloud automation, security best practices and architectural design.

Desired Skills:

  • Experience in the Microsoft Power family of tools, particularly Power Automate.
  • Familiarity in security and compliance within cloud environments.
  • Good problem-solving skills and the ability to troubleshoot complex cloud-based environments.
  • Familiarity with monitoring and logging solutions such as CloudWatch, AppDynamics, Prometheus, or ELK Stack.
