BIM Modeler Job Description

Seeking a detail-oriented and technically proficient BIM modeler to support architectural and engineering projects through precise drafting and 3D modeling.

The ideal candidate will have excellent communication skills, be able to work effectively in a team environment, and demonstrate strong attention to detail and spatial awareness.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop 2D drawings and 3D BIM models for architectural, structural, and MEP disciplines
  • Interpret sketches, specifications, and design intent to produce accurate technical documentation
  • Cross-functionally collaborate with project teams to ensure model accuracy and compliance with industry standards
  • Update and maintain drawing sets and BIM files throughout the project lifecycle
  • Assist in clash detection, quantity take-offs, and visualization tasks
  • Ensure adherence to company drafting standards and BIM protocols
  • Participate in design reviews and provide technical input as needed
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree or diploma in Architecture, Engineering, Drafting Technology, or related field
  • Minimum 2 years of experience in drafting or BIM modeling in a professional setting
Technical Skills:
  • Proficiency in AutoCAD, Revit, and other BIM software
  • Familiarity with construction documentation, layout planning, and elevation detailing
  • Understanding of building codes, construction methods, and materials
  • Experience with cloud-based collaboration tools
Soft Skills:
  • Strong problem-solving abilities
  • Excellent time management and organization skills
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines
