Accounting Specialist:

Job Description

Our organization is seeking a highly skilled Accounting Specialist to join our team. This role involves managing financial records, preparing tax returns, and performing bookkeeping tasks using QuickBooks.

Key Responsibilities
  • Maintain and update financial records accurately
  • Prepare and file tax returns in compliance with local, state, and federal regulations
  • Process payroll and prepare payroll returns timely
  • Perform general bookkeeping tasks, including recording financial transactions and reconciling accounts
  • Assist in the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements
  • Monitor and analyze financial data to identify discrepancies and resolve issues
  • Collaborate with the finance team to ensure accurate and timely financial reporting
  • Stay updated with changes in tax laws and accounting regulations
  • Ensure the confidentiality and security of financial information
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting or related field
  • Proven experience as an Accountant with a strong focus on QuickBooks, tax returns, and payroll processing
  • Proficiency in QuickBooks and other accounting software
  • Strong understanding of accounting principles and tax regulations
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Attention to detail and accuracy in financial record-keeping
  • Strong organizational and time management skills
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks efficiently
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Professional certification (e.g., CPA) is a plus
