Senior Tax Accountant Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Tax Accountant to join our team. As a Senior Tax Accountant, you will be responsible for completing working papers and assisting the onshore team with client tax compliance reports.

Your primary duties will include preparing and lodging individual income tax returns, business activity statements, installment activity statements, fringe benefits tax returns, bookkeeping in client accounting files, payroll processing, uploading invoice payments, and processing quarterly superannuation payments.

You will also be responsible for preparing monthly management reports for clients from their accounting platforms and performing ad hoc tasks as needed. Additionally, you will review work prepared by junior accountants, including individual tax returns, BAS's, IAS's, payroll, etc.

To be successful in this role, you should have a graduate degree in Finance or Accounting, with at least 4-5 years of experience in Australian accounting or taxation. You should also have knowledge of Australian Taxation and Compliance, as well as general accounting experience with a solid background.

System and application knowledge is also essential, including proficiency in Microsoft Office applications such as Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint, as well as familiarity with accounting tools like Xero and MYOB.

Required Skills and Qualifications
