Inventory Accountant Job Description

This is an exciting opportunity to work as a skilled Inventory Accountant with a dynamic team. As an Inventory Accountant, you will play a crucial role in managing the cost of goods sold, inventory demand planning, and assisting clients with ad-hoc pricing/margin analysis.

Main Responsibilities:
  • Cost Management: Manage cost of goods sold, track and analyze inventory levels, and make data-driven decisions to optimize profitability.
  • Client Support: Provide timely support and guidance to clients through regularly scheduled check-ins and day-to-day communication.
  • Accounting Operations: Manage retail operational accounting, including issuing invoices, reconciling discounts and chargebacks, collecting deposits, and matching accounts receivables.
  • Reconciliation and Reporting: Track and manage reconciliation schedules for prepaid expenses, fixed assets, accrued liabilities/expenses, and deferred revenue.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
  • 3+ years of relevant accounting and finance experience.
  • Bachelor's, Associates, or Accounting Certification required.
  • Proficient in ERP systems.
  • Experience with inventory accounting required.
