Senior Operations Manager Job Description

This role is responsible for leading and developing a team of operations specialists, overseeing financial operations, designing scalable back-office processes, collaborating with business operations technologists, driving data-informed decision making, and supporting sales and marketing teams.

Job Responsibilities
  • Team Leadership & Development:
    • Directly manage a diverse group of operations specialists covering various business functions
    • Provide strategic guidance, performance management, and professional development for team members with diverse skill sets
    • Foster a collaborative work culture and recruit/onboard new team members as the company grows
  • Financial Operations:
    • Oversee bookkeeping and accounting operations including accounts receivable management, billing cycles, payment processing, and financial reporting
    • Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and maintain relationships with certified public accountants and external financial advisors
    • Monitor and optimize cash flow, budgeting processes, and annual planning processes
  • Strategic Operations & Systems:
    • Design and implement efficient back-office processes that enable professional services and sales teams to focus on client delivery and business development
    • Collaborate with business operations technologists to enhance system integrations, automation, and data management
    • Drive informed decision making through key performance indicator development, reporting systems, and operational analytics
    • Lead recruiting and hiring processes across all departments to support company growth
    • Support sales and marketing teams with operational processes, lead management, and campaign execution to drive revenue growth
  • Consultant & Vendor Management:
    • Manage relationships with external consultants and service providers, coordinating projects in areas outside your direct expertise
    • Evaluate and onboard new service providers as business needs evolve
