As a Business Intelligence Specialist, you will be responsible for identifying and defining key metrics, working closely with various teams to drive business decisions.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Business Engagement & KPI Definition
    • Partner with functional teams to identify and define key metrics, business questions, and reporting needs.
    • Facilitate workshops and discovery sessions to uncover pain points, success measures, and opportunities for improvement.
    • Translate business processes and goals into measurable KPIs and performance indicators.
  • Analytics & Insight Generation
    • Perform exploratory data analysis to uncover trends, patterns, anomalies, and actionable insights.
    • Work with data from the Medallion Architecture (Silver and Gold layers) to develop trusted reporting and analytics.
    • Build and iterate on analytical models, dashboards, or data sets in collaboration with the Power BI Developer.
  • Data Validation & Metric Governance
    • Help ensure consistency and accuracy of key business definitions across reporting and analytics.
    • Support documentation of KPIs, including definitions, formulas, ownership, and rationale.
    • Contribute to a trusted source-of-truth semantic layer in Power BI by collaborating on metric alignment.
  • Enablement & Storytelling
    • Deliver insights to stakeholders through compelling data storytelling and dashboard reviews.
    • Help build a data-driven culture by enabling teams to ask better questions and explore answers using Power BI.
    • Support training and onboarding for teams new to self-service analytics tools.
Qualifications & Experience:
  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Economics, Analytics, Information Systems, or related field.
  • Certifications in data analysis are desirable but not required.
  • 2-4 years of experience in data analysis, business intelligence, or related fields.
  • Experience working with modern BI tools and strong understanding of KPIs and performance measurement.
  • Proven ability to work with stakeholders to define analytical requirements and deliver insights.
