Job Title: Senior Frontend Lead

About the Role

We are seeking an experienced and skilled Senior Frontend Lead to lead our development team in creating high-quality, scalable, and secure WordPress websites. As a seasoned professional, you will be responsible for overseeing the development process, ensuring timely delivery, and maintaining excellent communication with stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead and mentor a team of developers to achieve project goals and ensure effective execution of projects.
  • Act as the main communication point between the development team, management, and clients, providing regular updates on project progress.
  • Solve problems and resolve conflicts when needed, promoting a positive and collaborative team environment.
  • Build web applications using custom WordPress themes and plugins, applying best practices for scalability, performance, and security.
  • Create immersive user experiences through micro animations while maintaining excellent Lightspeed performance scores.
  • Write high-quality, scalable, and reusable code, adhering to WordPress standards and best practices.
  • Gather and refine specifications and requirements based on technical requirements or UX design.
  • Design and manage website architecture, including database and server integration.
  • Maintain platform's WordPress core while building customizable solutions that meet business needs.
  • Debug errors, troubleshoot issues, and perform routine performance optimizations.
  • Conduct code reviews to ensure consistency, quality, and adherence to best practices in WordPress development.
  • Work with a team to integrate UI components with APIs and databases.
  • Manage search engine optimization (SEO) for the website.
  • Integrate data from various front/back-end services and databases using REST-API.
  • Navigate and utilize WPEngine dashboard for hosting, domain setup, and integration.
  • Monitor live website performance using tools like Page Speed Insights, GTMetrix, and other related tools.
  • Collaborate with the development team to develop and maintain the website(s).
  • Create quality assurance tests to ensure website success and security.
  • Document user guides for various websites using existing templates.
  • Experience conducting website performance tests, monitoring metrics, and implementing optimizations.
Requirements
  • 5+ years hands-on experience as a WordPress developer using custom built themes, including multisite configuration, custom themes, plugins, ACF, and Gutenberg editor.
  • 3+ years work experience leading a development team.
  • Proven expertise in Agile methodology.
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field.
  • Proficient in CSS animations and portfolio of production websites with CSS animations.
  • Knowledge of JavaScript frameworks such as React, Angular, AlpineJS, and Vue.
  • Experience in Webflow, Sketch, Invision, WooCommerce, Shopify, Pardot, and Hubspot.
