The role of a Business Analyst Associate involves assisting the Business Development Team in performing detailed requirements analysis, documenting processes, and developing and implementing solutions.

Key Responsibilities
  • Reviews high-level business user requirements
  • Gathers, consolidates and analyses detailed Business User Requirements from sponsor, stakeholders, and/or subject matter experts
  • Conducts BUR walkthrough sessions with sponsor, stakeholders, SMEs and project team
  • Prepares detailed BUR documentation and ensures that all requirements are captured at the proper level of detail and within prescribed standards/guidelines
  • Ensures latest BUR documentation is stored in the shared project repository
Requirements Clarification
  • Provides support to teams for BUR clarification during development and testing phases
  • Resolves callouts/issues related to business requirements by liaising with stakeholders/SMEs and affected teams
  • Reviews and provides feedback on traceability of BURs to technical/testing artifacts
Change Management
  • Gathers and analyses detailed requirements for change requests relating to change in scope/requirements
  • Updates BUR documentation impacted by change requests
Document/Process Management
  • Transforms complex information into simple and easily understandable visuals
  • Assists/leads ongoing reviews of business processes and develops optimization strategies
  • Creates process models, specifications, diagrams, and charts to provide direction to the project team
  • Creates business requirements documentation and obtains sign-off
  • Manages and tracks the status of requirements throughout the project lifecycle; enforces and redefines as necessary
  • Handles spot requests and assists with other ad-hoc duties assigned
Other Responsibilities
  • Handles administrative duties for the company and its executives and management teams
  • Provides ad-hoc reports as needed (e.g. project status, timeline, milestones)
  • Performs other duties assigned from time-to-time by direct supervisor or BusDev Head
Required Skills and Qualifications
  • Familiarity with using business analysis, flowcharts, activity diagrams, document analysis, and workflow analysis
  • Strong analytical skills in interpreting business needs of customers and translating them into application and operational requirements
  • Excellent communication skills who can explain the benefits of recommendations across departments and assist to address uncertainty
  • Ability to collaborate proactively with internal and external customers to analyze information needs and functional requirements
  • Capability of producing written documentations to support work and report findings to stakeholders when necessary

Education, Training, and Licenses Required
  • At least 2 years of business analysis experience, preferably in a technical environment
  • Experience in the Telco industry is an advantage
  • Bachelor's degree in any Business or IT-related field from a four-year college or university
