Job Title: Civil Design Expert

Fyfe is a multi-disciplinary consultancy providing comprehensive engineering, environmental, planning, and surveying services throughout Australia. We work with a wide range of clients in the Energy & Resources, Infrastructure and Property sectors to provide high quality, commercially pragmatic solutions with a strong focus on client service and delivery.

We are currently seeking an experienced Civil Designer to join our team and contribute to the delivery of complex projects.

The successful candidate will have relevant tertiary qualifications and demonstrated experience within a consulting environment. They will be responsible for producing civil engineering design and documentation for energy and civil infrastructure projects using 12D and AutoCAD.

About You:

To succeed in this role, you will require a high level competency with engineering design software, including AutoCAD and 12D. Experience with designing access tracks and cut/fill pads is advantageous, as is knowledge of local and statutory requirements, legislation and Australian Standards.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Produce high-quality civil engineering design and documentation for energy and civil infrastructure projects.
  • Work collaboratively with project managers to balance design work requirements with project budgets and schedules.
  • Participate in the delivery of projects and ensure output meets high standards and time and cost budget allocations.
  • Ensure all design drawings comply with statutory and regulatory requirements.
  • Prepare civil design plans, specifications and estimates for a range of civil design projects.

Requirements:

  • Relevant tertiary qualifications in a related field.
  • Demonstrated experience within a consulting environment.
  • High level competency with engineering design software, including AutoCAD and 12D.
  • Experience with designing access tracks and cut/fill pads (advantageous).
  • Knowledge of local and statutory requirements, legislation and Australian Standards (preferable).
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and ability to prioritize multiple projects.
  • Proficient in the operation of MS Word and Excel.
  • Ability to work independently and collaborate with stakeholders.
