Job Description

As a diligent, detail-focused data quality specialist, you will play a crucial role in maintaining annotation standards and driving continuous improvements to ensure the fidelity of training and evaluation datasets. Your work will directly impact the development of reliable AI models that serve various industries.

This role involves performing quality audits on annotated datasets to ensure they meet established guidelines and quality benchmarks. You will use metrics such as F1 score and inter-annotator agreement to evaluate data quality and identify areas for improvement. Additionally, you will analyze annotation errors, trends, and project documentation to propose remediation strategies.

You will manage edge-case annotations to ensure quality and identify improvement areas. To achieve this, you will utilize annotation and quality control tools to perform reviews and track quality metrics. Furthermore, you will develop expertise in project guidelines and provide feedback for clarifications or improvements.

The ideal candidate will have 1+ years of experience as a data analyst with exposure to data quality and/or data annotation, ideally in an AI/ML context. Familiarity with basic concepts of AI/ML pipelines and data is also essential. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with an exceptional eye for detail, are required.

Excellent written and verbal communication skills are necessary to clearly articulate quality issues and collaborate with diverse teams. Ability to work independently and manage time effectively to meet deadlines is also critical. A strong problem-solving, critical thinking, and continuous optimization mindset is desired. Finally, a positive can-do attitude and adaptability to new environments are essential qualities.
