Job Description

We are seeking an Email Marketing Strategist to develop and implement marketing strategies centered on an audience predominantly visiting obituaries, requiring a high degree of empathy in communications.

This includes collaborating with our product team to enhance email capture rates and optimizing email conversion flows for our unique audience. Additionally, conducting market research, analyzing consumer trends, and developing marketing campaigns that align with our business objectives is essential.

  • Email Campaign Development: Develop and execute high-volume email marketing campaigns across multiple systems and email platforms, ensuring seamless integration and efficiency.
  • A/B Testing: Drive the creation and execution of A/B tests across various channels to determine the most effective strategies for user acquisition, retention, and engagement.
  • Messaging Strategy: Create engaging, brand-aligned messaging that effectively communicates the value proposition of our products while being sensitive to the emotion of the audience.
  • Email Platform Optimization: Provide strategic recommendations for email platform consolidation and future platform selections to streamline operations and enhance campaign performance.
  • User Journey Improvement: Champion a customer-centric approach, continuously seeking to understand and improve the user journey, while collaborating with the product team to increase email capture rates, balancing user experience with marketing goals.
  • Campaign Performance Analysis: Develop and manage key performance metrics and analyze and report on campaign performance based on those KPIs, using data-driven insights to guide future strategies.
  • Collaboration: Work closely with various teams, including product, design, content, and analytics, to create cohesive and effective campaigns.
  • Subscriber Data Management: Maintain subscriber data integrity, focusing on segmentation and list hygiene for optimal campaign results.
