Account Receivable Collections Professional

We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced account receivable collections professional to optimize revenue cycles and ensure timely collections.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Manage accounts receivable (AR) collections processes efficiently and effectively.
  • Review and follow up on outstanding accounts receivable balances.
  • Identify and resolve billing discrepancies and payment postings issues.
  • Communicate with patients, insurance companies, and internal stakeholders to address payment issues and resolve outstanding balances.
  • Utilize the Athena Health EMR system to track and manage accounts receivable activities.
  • Analyze AR aging reports and prioritize collection efforts based on delinquency levels.
  • Collaborate with the billing and coding team to ensure accurate and timely submission of claims.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
  • Proven experience as an AR collections specialist or similar role in the healthcare industry.
  • Proficiency in using the Athena Health EMR system is required.
  • Strong understanding of medical billing and insurance claims processes.
  • Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
  • Detail-oriented with strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to meet deadlines and exceed performance targets.
