Electrical Engineering Expert Wanted

We are seeking a seasoned electrical engineering professional to join our Manila-based design team. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in power systems analysis and design, with a strong focus on high-voltage power systems.

The successful applicant will contribute to the development of electrical projects and studies, including detail design and technical reports, as well as client deliverables and full studies on remote mining plant power systems.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Undertaking power system analysis for clients
  • Designing power systems for the mining and power generation industries
  • Preparing and evaluating tenders
  • Utilizing power systems modeling packages such as DigSilent (PowerFactory) and ETAP

This is an excellent opportunity for a skilled electrical engineer to work on complex high-value resource & energy projects, with an understanding of the differences between Australian based projects and offshore remote mining plant construction and operations.

The role may involve occasional input on studies and reports for our Toronto and African offices, as well as coordination with our Perth engineering office.

To be considered for this position, you should have solid power systems experience on complex projects, with a strong understanding of electrical engineering principles and practices.

About the Role

This is a mid-senior level position, requiring a degree-level qualification in electrical engineering, with specialized power engineering qualifications highly regarded.

The role is full-time and offers a fulfilling career across all aspects of power and renewables.

We are looking for someone who can self-manage while working in a variety of team/project delivery scenarios, with an ability to travel as required.

Requirements
  • Solid electrical engineering experience, including knowledge of electrical, instrumentation and controls applications
  • Experience working on both greenfields and brownfields projects
  • Strong skills and experience in network analysis and performance standard studies
  • Able to utilize power systems modeling packages such as DigSilent (PowerFactory) and ETAP
