Job Description

We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced A/R Collections Specialist to optimize revenue cycles and ensure timely collections. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing accounts receivable processes efficiently, reviewing and following up on outstanding balances, identifying and resolving billing discrepancies, communicating with patients and insurance companies to address payment issues, and utilizing the Athena Health EMR system to track and manage accounts receivable activities.

Main Responsibilities:
  • Manage accounts receivable (A/R) collections processes effectively and efficiently.
  • Review and follow up on outstanding A/R balances.
  • Identify and resolve billing discrepancies and discrepancies in payment postings.
  • Communicate with patients, insurance companies, and internal stakeholders to address payment issues and resolve outstanding balances.
  • Utilize the Athena Health EMR system to track and manage A/R activities.
  • Analyze A/R aging reports and prioritize collection efforts based on delinquency levels.
  • Collaborate with the billing and coding team to ensure accurate and timely submission of claims.
