Manuscript Editor Job

We are seeking a skilled professional to join our team as a Manuscript Editor. The successful candidate will have excellent editing skills, attention to detail and the ability to work independently.

About the Role

This position involves reviewing draft reports to ensure clarity, coherence and logical flow of ideas. Ensuring consistency in tone, formatting, abbreviations and referencing throughout the document is also crucial. Refining the structure of the report for readability and ensuring clear headings, subheadings and logical sequencing of sections are key responsibilities.

Duties and Responsibilities
  • Review draft reports to guarantee clarity, coherence and logical flow of ideas.
  • Ensure consistency in tone, formatting, abbreviations and referencing throughout the document.
  • Refine the structure of the report for readability and ensure clear headings, subheadings and logical sequencing of sections.
  • Conduct a final check of the document prior to publication or submission to ensure edits are incorporated and the report meets high editorial standards.
Requirements
  • University degree in Communications and/or Journalism.
  • At least 5 years of relevant and certified experience in editing publications and technical reports.
  • Working knowledge (Level C) of English.
